 Teresa James will launch John Martyn's latest book Rocks an
 d Trees. Teresa made a significant contribution to the book through her fi
 eld botany courses that John attended and she has a vast knowledge of the 
 Sydney Basin’s plant communities.
 Teresa worked as a botanist at the N
 ational Herbarium of NSW for almost 20 years before starting a consultancy
  business in 1998 specialising in flora survey\, plant identification and 
 conservation assessment. An important part of her work is to engage with t
 he community increasing awareness of biodiversity and threatened flora and
  fauna through publications\, botanical tours and workshops.
 
 Discover
  the relationship between the geology and the plants that grow there. The 
 book journeys from the Illawarra along the coast to Newcastle and inland t
 o the Greater Blue Mountains\, staying within the framework created by the
  massive sandstones and conglomerates of the Triassic Narrabeen Group.
