Talk: Julian's Hibbertia: A Little Plant Unique to Sydney

The northern suburbs of Sydney are home to many surprising, unique and threatened plant species. One of these is the unassuming Julian's Hibbertia (Hibbertia spanantha), which was officially described in 2012.

When Chantelle Doyle first encountered this plant as a consultant, it was known from only two populations, and she wanted to know more about conserving it, so obviously started a PhD.

Thanks to the help of councils, researchers and community, a lot of the questions about this species, like what pollinates it and are the populations related,  have been answered. But many more emerged and many more remain.
