Walk: In search of Origma
Registration essential
Join Ku-ring-gai Council’s fire manager, Mark Schuster, who is also a long-standing naturalist, in a search for the rare Cave Bird – or Rock Warbler.
This walk goes from Duffys Forest Endangered Ecological Community, down into the upper section of Middle Harbour (little changed over the centuries) into the Bare Creek area – passing lovely sandstone outcrops – and then onto The Cascades.
The walk ‘back up the hill’ will be strenuous as it is a steep fire trail – but there will be much to see and talk about – making the walk easier for us.
Date: Sunday 22 October
Time: 8.45 for 9 am start
Length: 5 to 6 km (3 to 4 h)
Grade: moderate but the walk ‘back up the hill’ is steep and will be strenuous
