Talk: Native Bees

Interest in native bees has led to the creation of a new honey category in the Royal Easter Show,  Discover how you can help the environment while simultaneously harvesting  delicious native bee honey, also known as sugarbag.  This talk will detail how to obtain and look after native bees (specifically the species Tetragonula carbonaria) while creating your own sustainable source of sugarbag. Our speaker Peter Clarke is an expert in Tetragonula carbonaria with over 15 years experience working with these fascinating insects and at the conclusion of his talk will have some sugarbag available for tasting.
