Walk: Around the back of St Ives Showground

MarkSchuster

Registration essential (see above)

Join Ku-ring-gai’s fire ecologist/bushfire planning officer for a delightful walk and talk on the Ku-ring-gai Wildflower Gardens to Showground fire trail. Mark has now spent nearly three years walking and thinking about this beautiful part of his ‘backyard’ and has gained even deeper insights into this area which he loves so dearly. He’ll also tell you about some of the early naturalists and scientists he is avidly writing about, for his forthcoming book Green Treasure: A History of Discovering and Writing Nature in Ku-ring-gai. Mark will reward those who complete the walk, just like last time, with a slice of his home-made damper – and a cuppa to wash it down!
