Our speaker, Dr Peter Weston is Honorary Research Associate at the Royal Botanic Gardens.

Gondwanaland refers to the larger supercontinent which includes Antarctica, Australia, Africa, Arabia, South America, NZ and the Indian sub-continent. The enormous land mass was thought to have existed from about 800 million to about 20 million years ago. Botanists have discovered, that numerous plant groups have representative species, closely related, in the resulting land masses.
